| Message | With 190,000 miles and a mystery knock developing in September (Tech thread, figured main bearing), it was bound to happen. To be fair, I've been pretty fortunate this last decade with a running Z of some sort for nearly every day of it. That all changed as I was headed home and noticed billowing white smoke from both sides under load. I immediately pulled over but it got rough and died almost instantly. Completely seized up and likely done for. Not how I expected it to go considering the knock but the end result is the same. Ah well. At this point, I'm going to start mapping out the motor build/turbos and I've had a few long talks with Greg@SZ...but it'll be some months before I dive in. Way too much going on right now with work/life and I need to find myself a daily driver since that just died last month as well. Two 200,000 mile cars dying within 30 days of one another...bleh. Rest assured, the Z isn't going anywhere. It'll be back better than ever so you can't get rid of this old bastard just yet. Here it is back at 90k before I put 100,000 lead-footed miles through those hairdryers. Trust me, this time around I will get new pics =)
